Visible Trading Project - looking for beta testers

Hey everyone,

I’m the developer of Quantzu, a new BTC paper trading contest app. I’m reaching out to invite Bitcointalk members to try it out and share your thoughts.

What the App Offers:

• Full trading chart interface -  for simulated BTC trading.
• Open to everyone - no cost to compete.
• Daily prizes - starting out at $10 in USDT (sorry, I'm on a budget) to increase as users subscribe to upgrades or perhaps through donations.

Features and Upgrades:

• Leaderboard - showcasing top traders.
• Follow traders in real-time.

Rational Behind the Contest:
The goal is to identify intuitive traders rather than relying solely on algorithms. This benefits both contest participants (who earn prizes) and those who might follow their trades for guidance.

Trading Details:

• Data sourced from Coinbase websocket Real Time feed.
• Simulated fees match Hyperliquid DEX parameters (about $30 per BTC trade).
• Maximum stop size: $1,000.

Next Steps:
I’ve also developed a backtesting system compatible with Quantower C# code, which operates on AWS EC2 Fargate instances. If the platform gains traction, I plan to make my backtesting models fully viewable.

PS. Technical Info (for techies):
The app runs on this infrastructure:

• Kubernetes cluster - four nodes (160GB RAM, 32 vCPU, M2 SSDs).
• Built with NodeJS, VueJS, and Postgres HA Cluster using StackGres, MongoDB and Redis.

The support forum also runs on this cluster and is powered by the open source forum "Discourse", with GPT-4 Omni Mini enabled for searches. The Live Trading chat is powered by Discourse as well.

The app does require an email address for registration, and SMS verification is needed for free trials—but rest assured, your data won’t be shared or used for marketing.

That's such a high requirement for a review, especially when we know promise means nothing, considering how many data breaches have happened. Why not limit it to e-mail registration at least? I have a bad experience with businesses asking for my phone numbers because, sooner or later, I got spammed with scam calls after I did that. Even if you promise you'll delete my data after my trial expires, I can't verify anything at all. I believe many people would be discouraged from trying your service because of that.

The SMS requirement has been removed. Only an email address is needed. Just for clarification, the contest is ALWAYS free and all users are always eligible for the daily USDT prizes. So far no one has signed up so if you sign up today and no one else does and are able to make $1 profit you will get $5 sent to you tonight. I will even follow you to make sure you get another $5 for having the most followers. Seems like a good offer...

While it sucks, I think it's not surprising if nobody is registering on your website just for the fact that it is a new project. Maybe you can make a demo page where nobody needs to register to try the service, or you can do more marketing through social media, or make a new thread on the service announcements/discussion board if your goal is just to promote the contest. It needs more than just a "good offer" to entice new users to try your service, especially when you have no reputation or your service is considered niche by them (whether that's true or not doesn't matter IMO).

Dude, from personal experience here, people value privacy.    May I ask what your intention is in collecting the addresses?  Notifications?  Account Management?  Abuse?   You can accomplish each one of those objectives in a different way.  I'm hesitant to put my email address willingly into any test project, as I already get spammed to death just for being here.

Good point. To get some momentum I should let people fully use all aspects if the system without an email. Instead of using email to create an account it should just automatically display a short key on their first session so if they erase their browser cookies or change devices they will still be able to connect to their account.

At the same time it will generate a TON wallet address for them to receive their winnings. They can copy the private key mnemonic and save it.

This makes they fully functional without needing an email. I like it. I will make the updates and post back here. Thanks!

I logged into the site to try out the service, but it seemed the page was taking a long time to load. It took me several attempts to get the site to fully open..

Anyway, I tried to register on the site, entered all the required information, and then received a message stating that an activation link had been sent to my email. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any email. I checked my spam folder, but found nothing. I resent the activation link, but I haven't received anything yet.

I don't know what the problem is.

UPDATE: Dmarc records have been added. Waiting for caching.
UPDATE: There are some large JS libraries that download with the initial page load (amCharts, VueJS, JQuery, etc.) but after the first load they are cached so it should work much faster. With good internet service this initial load takes about 7 seconds. I can see that your load took 214 seconds but once you are in it should be ok. You can send me direct messages in the support site (alan.lawson) if you have any issues.

Gmail is very picky about receiving emails from email services like Mailgun. They use three methods to authenticate servers they receive messages from: SPF, DKIM and Dmarc. My Dmarc and SPF settings look ok for quantzu.com but there seems to be an issue with DKIM which I am working on now. I will update when I have verified that it is working. Thanks for your patience.

Hi @yhiaali3, could you do me a favor and try registering again? I have updated the mailgun authentication methods and sent a test message to a gmail address so hopefully it will work this time. Alternatively, you could wait a day or two and I will have the "no email" instant authentication version deployed. Thanks again.

I registered again  and now I've received the activation email. I activated my account and logged in quickly and without any problems.

At the moment I use the Mailgun email validation service before I send out a validation link. I just tried it with a new proton address and it failed the address. I will disable this check in the forthcoming update. Good catch.

Good to hear that. In my experience, it's easier to create a throwaway with a Proton account compared to Google, it would be a shame not to support it. Even if I plan to use your service, I'd still prefer to use my Proton account instead of a Google email for privacy reasons. CMIIW.
