Hi

I have not logged into my eidoo wallet in years. I logged in a week ago and it appears it moved to version 2 and then it went defunct. I tried to recover my wallet in eidoo version 2 without any luck. but i can recover it in version 1 but i cannot process any transactions. How do i export my btc private keys from eidoo version 1 so i can recover them elsewhere? I have searched the internet and cannot find how to do it for btc, only how to do it for ether. i have my 12 word phrase, i just need to know how to access the private key

Please help

If I remember correctly, the wallet is non custodial. So you should have your seedphrase with you. Do you have that? If not, you should also be able to retrieve it by going to the Settings/Preferences I would imagine. Obviously if the wallet is encrypted, you need to input the password you first used.

Once you have the seedphrase, you can use that directly on pretty much any wallet you can think of since they all support  BIP39. I personally recommend going with Electrum.

Correctly.

Eidoo wallet is a close source wallet.

I did not use it but I guess that if you can log in your wallet a week ago, you can find an option to export it wallet mnemonic seed or wallet private key.

Yes i can access the app but unfortunately there is no option to export private keys, only to export the mnemonic seed. I have tried that seed on iancoleman's site but i do not know the derivation paths for btc from eidoo wallet so i am not getting the correct private key

Install Electrum and give this a read: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/restoring-your-standard-wallet-from-seed/

(You should check BIP39 as the article states).

Did you by any chance have multiple accounts in Eidoo? That's probably why Trustwallet couldn't recover it. In the above article, step #6 you might need to play with the derivation path by increasing it meaning the last 0 would become 1, then 2 etc. the article explains this in details.

I have justed tested the wallet now, it is native segwit BIP84. But for the new wallet. If you are doubting it, you can use Electrum or Bluewallet for it. Make sure you choose BIP39 on Electrum to proceed which you can see if you click on 'option' on desktop or 'electrum' on mobile where you inputted the seed phrase. Try all the derivational path that you see on after the other. They are just three of them which are legacy, p2sh-segwit and segwit.

If you try the three and no coin seen, probably you have the wrong seed phrase. I think Eidoo does not support passphrase.

Thank you so much, this worked. I used Electrum. Much appreciated!

This is very helpful as I’ve had exactly the same issue.  My additional “wrinkle” is that when I went into the EIDOO app a few weeks ago, a transaction was initiated on my entire BTC position - either I pressed something like Cash Out or my wallet was hacked.  Using Electrum, I’ve recovered the BTC wallet info which shows a zero BTC balance.  But I have looked on explorer on blockchain.com and can see the various output transactions which doesn’t fill me with a feeling that this is going to end well.  My question is whether there is any way of checking if my BTC was/were sold for payment or transferred without payment, and if it is the former to determine where the proceeds went.  Any tips appreciated.

If Eidoo has a Cashout (as in sell to your bank account) method then you should be able to see that somewhere (history, or transcations tab) I would imagine. Or you could simply check with whatever payment method you had linked to your account directly, to see if you have any transactions on that day.

Aside from that, no. It's not possible to know whether the BTC was actually sold, or just sent... simply by looking at the transcation hash and the addresses it went to. You can try to look at the address the funds were sent to on Walletexplorer.com to see if it actually belong to a centralized exchange though.

It would seem that you have been hacked and your funds have been stolen, by the way, what does the 'cash out' option mean on eidoo wallet, that is a strange one to say the least. Is your case like op, are you just coming back to this wallet after being away for years?
My question is whether there is any way of checking if my BTC was/were sold for payment or transferred without payment, and if it is the former to determine where the proceeds went.  Any tips appreciated.
You cannot know what the hacker did with your funds, you can also trace the addresses that your funds was sent to through the transaction id, that is if the hacker didn't use a privacy solution to obscure everything.

Your wallet must have been compromised, perhaps someone landed on your sends. Do you recall how you used to store your seeds?
When you were to log into your wallet, was it via an encrypted json file?

My question is whether there is any way of checking if my BTC was/were sold for payment or transferred without payment, and if it is the former to determine where the proceeds went.  Any tips appreciated.
Some blockchain explorers label the hot wallets of exchanges that receive the funds. You might have a chance to see which exchange the funds were sent to. This might also give you the idea if the coins were sent to an exchange for sale.
