@goldkingcoiner lost about $6000 by the same UI quirk when he swapped something in Trust wallet what looked like BUSD (he said same icon) when it actually was an illiquid Binance USD (Wormhole) shit token. Is there some pattern here?

He even tried to get information about the target token, but Trust wallet just gave him an error message, which is a shame on its own.

I don't know how this piece of shit software that Trust wallet obviously is, can allow different tokens or coins to have similar if not intentionally equal icons and not displaying any other details that would allow a user to clearly identify which tokens or coins he's dealing with.

And the idiots of Trust wallet service not even remotely recognizing that the UI of Trust wallet is severely flawed, is beyond anything sane.

Here's the topic that goldkingcoiner posted: Help - I lost $6000 on Trustwallet - learn from this

Don't Trust - verify! I'd go so far to say, with the negligence the Trust wallet programmer and service morons display, nobody should use this piece of software shit, unless you want to get screwed sooner or later at some swap or at whenever this wallet otherwise fails badly.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Cricktor!

Aadriann, if you wish to go against Trustwallet legally, I am 100% with you. Let's talk.

They gave me the same bullshit generic answer as they gave you. And not only that, they also told me in an E-Mail that they would fix the issue. Obviously they did not. And they do not care.

SNIP

This is a terrible experience aadriann. I cannot imagine losing such an amount. In fact, I do not even own such an amount of money. I once tried to exchange my BTC for USDT or USDC, but I was confused when I noticed there are a lot of chains. Later, I cancelled the plan and withdrew my BTC from Trustwallet to a centralized exchange and then exchanged it for a stablecoin.

I guess that was the last time I used Trust Wallet. I think you and goldkingcoiner are not the only people who lost money after swapping. If you check online, there is a chance you will find similar cases. You guys should take action.

I completely agree with you, i learnt a long time ago from this forum that Trust Wallet is not recommended and should be avoided, if i remember correctly, @o_e_l_e_o used to warn users seriously about using this closed source wallet and he was very right.

Sure there would be tons of other people who have been deceived by this negligence from Trust Wallet, or it could even be an intentional act, whatever it is, the fault is on them and it is suspicious that they do not want to get it fixed asap.

Surprisingly, there are still people who still insist on defending that Trust Wallet is a good wallet to store coins.
I found the person who said that Trust wallet is good and it was in response to one of the comments on the social media platform live.
The model of people like what I said is my prediction is people who are lazy to learn something right and models like this are difficult for us to explain.

Sure there would be tons of other people who have been deceived by this negligence from Trust Wallet, or it could even be an intentional act, whatever it is, the fault is on them and it is suspicious that they do not want to get it fixed asap.

The problem with the big company is, they support copy-and-paste pre-generated responses, and they do not forward these complaints to the developer team/core team. They just write back to the user like "we will fix it asap," which actually never happens. If the support forwarded those cases to the core team, why would they keep their wallet like this and make users lose their money?

I think the victims should take legal action against these companies and only then they will start looking at the problem. These type of support employees should be fired because I think they do not forward the cases to the core team.

I believe the support employees are working based on the instructions they have been given, this happens in crypto casinos too, their support team usually give generic responses and they will only move your case to the devs and higher authority when you have insisted for a long time, so i don't think the problem is with the support workers, but the entire system.

Take note that taking legal actions is a good step, but i always say that it is difficult to drag a company with huge resources to court, the cost of litigation will wear you out, while they would have spent less than a penny based on their endless resources.

Yes, it is difficult and risky. And I don't say to let such companies get away with such things. But don't forget, it's easy for bystanders to say: go, sue them! The bystanders usually don't take a risk, don't throw own money into the ring, unless they actually donate something or organize a crowd funding or similar.

So, be a bit mindful with cheering up. It's a burden for the victims who already have suffered a loss, to grab more good money and throw it into uncertainty of legal action. You don't get that for free in the majority of places and a positive outcome is in no way guaranteed.

I have to agree with what you have said. But it is not always the case. I don't think any company would ask their employees not to report a case to them from the support. The company employs them because it wants to provide service to the customers. I feel like most of the employees do not do their job properly, and they do not even talk to the customers well.

My personal experience says that most customer support copy-paste pre-generated answers to their customers. They do not carefully read what their customers are writing. Usually they says something like "Thank you for contacting and reporting, we will fix this as soon as possible" which actually never happens.
