I don't understand why they fired Tom Thibodeau, I think it's a great achievement to even get this far with this squad. They could have won the cup with the reinforcements to be made to the team next season. I think it's a ridiculous decision.

Nuggets head coach was fired after giving them a championship so this news is not surprising at all considering that they can hire new coach that is much better instead of rebuilding their roster.

This is not the right move but the coach is the most disposable employee if he is in bad terms to star player which we don’t know who exactly.

Maybe they will hire Malone as head coach.

Usually, the GMs are going to blame first the coaches. Even if there is a clear reason on how they've lost and the players are playing on the floor. All the responsibilities and blame goes to the head coach. We've seen this for so many times and even a championship coach got even fired when they're approaching the playoffs and that's with the Nuggets. They only show how frustrated they are with their rival and they're so close to that chip but, if this is the kind of way on how to make things better. I hope that coach Tom will find a better team for his next term to bring it to the finals.

Exactly, Head Coach is the easiest person to blame considering Knicks line-up is very solid this year. They need someone to take the blame to ease the upset of fans since they are so close to finals.

We all know that the real reason why Knicks lose is their core players give up already especially OG Anunoby that clearly choke on the ECF. KAT is limping while Brunson clutch plays is not working anymore.

Knicks is a good team it's been so long that they've reached the conference finals and that's why the emotions are high and the frustration can be seen through this action. I am seeing people saying LeBron should retire and not sabotage the Lakers with his contract, but I think Luka is the best teammate he's ever had.  He has to run it back with a proper center.

Most of the picks for Game 1 are in favor of OKC winning. Out of 32 who submitted their predictions in the sportsbet.io contest thread, only 9 predicted that the Pacers would win Game 1. I think they did something quite illogical, it's not the right move to remove someone who has been successful. Even if he had problems with the star player of the team, even if he had a fight with him, it was one of the worst things that could have been done to part with that coach when he had such a successful season with a team that didn't have a lot of talent.
Probably in a few weeks we'll know the reason for this, whatever it is, I wouldn't be surprised. Now we realize that we're just watching a show in the NBA

All the blame will go mostly to the coach and other teams will do this casually now. That's why it's going to be the next trend for the coaches and they have to prepare for it and saw it coming if the team performs well but still didn't ended up with a better place at the end of the season. Or even not at the end of season, if the management is dissatisfied with the performance of the team. They'll just go mostly to the coach and won't discuss matters but have them fired quickly.

Now that’s exactly what I’m talking about, people are seriously underestimating the Pacers. I agree, OKC is a solid team, but I don’t believe they’re the better team in this matchup. I’m not jumping on the OKC bandwagon. I’m looking at the other side because I honestly see the Pacers’ offense as unstoppable. If OKC’s defense doesn’t show up, that’s where the Pacers can take control and gain the edge.

Just my prediction, but I’m confident enough to bet on it.

I voted OKC Thunder, I’ve been a supporter all season long, and I’d love to see them win but, we all know Indiana Pacers cannot be underestimated.

While it does seem like a ridiculous decision, I’m actually not surprised, I expected him to get sacked if Knicks don’t win the championship or get to the NBA finals at least. New York Knicks is very demanding franchise, for the first in a while, they look like they actually have the right roster to be either the best or 2nd best in the East, not the 3rd best, Knicks weren’t as dominant as they were expected or predicted to be before the beginning of the season. I don't know who’s next in line to be head coach, but I strongly doubt they’ll go for Malone, though.

I know that the OKC Thunder are heavily favored on this one, but like you, I don't see a sweep happening as well. For sure, the Thunder don't want to celebrate on the road, right?

A gentleman sweep might happen because if I'm the Thunder, I don't want to celebrate my first title on the opposing team's home, isn't it? Now with regards to the Pacers' offense, yes they might be unstoppable because of the balanced scoring, but isn't the Thunder a great offensive team as well? Both the Pacers and the Thunder are 2nd and 3rd in offensive rating in this year's playoffs, and the difference isn't that big. Now let's talk about defense because the Thunder are the best in defensive rating in the playoffs. I don't think the OKC's defense will show up because all throughout the playoffs, they've been consistent.

I respect your prediction, and I don't think that saying that OKC will win on this one is considered "bandwagon", but that's just how many people are thinking because of how strong the Thunder are this year. On the flip side though, I'll be surprised if this series will end up being a 7-game series. I mean everybody's happy if that happens, right?

Yup, they needed to be well prepared as even how good they think their performances if the managements are not satisfied with how the season ends up, you are not secure and they are always open in replacing you, team that composed of players who play inside the court while the coaching staff are the one who are in-charge combining players who have a good chemistries they both need each other to win the game, but at the end of the day it's the managements that will assess the performances of the whole squad, they are the one that will decide whether they will keep them or they need to change it up.

The chances of the Thunder winning the title are certainly greater. However, I also think the Pacers won't be an easy opponent for them, and the series won't be 4-0. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pacers win the first game rather than the Thunder.

That’s right,taking the lead especially in Game 1, will probably boost their confidence. We’ll likely see SGA foul baiting even more, especially on their home court. He doesn’t care what others say; he’ll just do what he needs to do, and that’s to win. Let’s see how the Pacers handle OKC, considering they lost both of their regular season games against them. For sure, they’ve already prepared a game plan. Even if they can’t stop SGA, they should at least try to limit him especially his foul baiting.
