1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA Club World Cup 2025 - USA: Discussion Thread ⚽ on: June 23, 2025, 05:35:03 PM
The most interesting game will be that of Athletico Madrid and botafogo and that's because nobody actually believe that the Brazilian team will be on top of their group and against all odds they have secured all victory and I believe they will give the Spanish team a run for their money still tonight when they clash. As for PSG and Seattle sounders, I think that would be an easy win for them as always seeing how they have lack to impress in this competition.

Botafogo's performance is amazing. We will see Botafogo's victory against PSG. It was unimaginable. Because in the first match PSG won against Atletico by a big margin of 4-0. Botafogo performed well and managed to defeat the PSG team.
Atletico Madrid vs Botafogo match will be a tough competition. Botafogo only needs a draw to qualify for the next round. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid will have to win by a big margin if they want to stay in the top 2 of the table. Atletico Madrid will give their full effort to win today's match even if they are not serious about the FIFA Club World Cup.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: June 23, 2025, 10:37:34 AM
All fans definitely want Arsenal to be as successful as they were in those days. At that time Arsenal was still coached by Arsène Wenger. And it seems that Arsenal has not been able to return to its glory days. But I believe they will be able to return to those times. Even though we don't know when. But looking at Arsenal's strength, they actually deserve to be champions. They just lack consistency.

Arsenal is a strong team. There are talented players in the squad. Arsenal management has the ability to spend a lot of money to build a squad. But even then the team has failed to win the title.
Arsenal's only problem is their consistency. Although the team was in good form at the beginning and end of the season, the team lost its momentum in the middle. Their performance became erratic. And gradually they started to move away from the title fight. If they  want to win the Premier League title, it is essential to perform well consistently. However, this season Arsenal is probably trying to strengthen their squad. Arsenal will make the utmost effort to keep the overall performance of the squad stable this season.

India's total at the end of the third day is 90 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. India is leading by 96 runs. If India can stay at the crease for the entire day today, then there is a possibility of a draw in this match. However, if India can give a target close to 400, then their chances of winning are high.

There is still a possibility of winning this match for both teams, and even a possibility of a draw. The result of the match will largely depend on the performance of both teams today.

Ohhhoo !!! India started the fourth day at 90 runs. India lost the important wicket of Shubman Gill for 92 runs. India lost this important wicket after adding only 2 runs to the scoreboard on the fourth day. Shubman Gill was able to play a great innings of 147 runs in the first innings.

England still has a big chance of winning. In this match, I considered England as the favorite. However, India batted brilliantly in the first innings. In the second innings, I predict that India's innings will end before 250.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Today WW3 started on: June 23, 2025, 04:07:40 AM

I don't think this is the beginning of World War 3. China and Russia have not indicated any interest in helping their ally Iran. Russia is preoccupied with its war with Ukraine, while China is focusing on its economic war with the US. I guess they are avoiding direct war with the US. Maybe they might assist Iran indirectly. The outcome of this attack on Iran is just unpredictable.

Russia and Iran are not allies, they are just military strategic partners and this relationship has become closer during the Syrian conflict. There is no relationship or commitment to military support between them, unlike the close alliance between the United States and Israel. Likewise, China is not Iran's ally, it is just a trading partner.

All three countries have conducted joint exercises in the Gulf of Oman to show strength to the United States and NATO, but unfortunately they do not have any binding alliance relationship. That is the main reason why they stay out of the war and do not provide military support to Iran.

Iran's allies are Hezbollah and Yemen.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best strategy to beat inflation in 2025? on: June 23, 2025, 03:40:36 AM
In 2025, 2024, 2020, or perhaps 2030, there is no solution to resist inflation other than Bitcoin. Bitcoin specifically, and not any other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin has proven to be the only asset least affected by inflation in global economies, and in turn, it is not susceptible to inflation under its current circumstances.

Is this a bias and hype for bitcoin just because we are investing in and on the bitcoin forum?
Bitcoin is only 16 years old, while our world and economy have been around for hundreds of years, it has gone through many crises and inflations. Before 2009, didn't the world have any other solutions to prevent inflation?

Gold, bonds, oil, real estate...are not the solution and cannot prevent inflation? If they are not the solution and not as good as bitcoin, why are people who invest in them and say no to bitcoin still richer than us and don't even care about inflation?
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealth creation on: June 23, 2025, 03:28:23 AM

You are right, most wealthy people comes from a wealthy family look at the top like Elon musk he was rich before he had great education and whealthy community to like with he was surrounded by smart people, you will find wealthy people don't just transfer money to their upcoming generations but also the knowledge to stay wealthy, This is one of the reasons rich people stay rich and poor people stay poor, if a person wanna become he has to invest in the education first I am not talking about normal education I am talking about financial education this the one of many way a person could get out of poverty, other way is by saving money and creating assets, this is slow way but sure way we can achieve financial freedom.

Elon comes from a middle-class family in South Africa, his family is not a super-rich tycoon family compared to the Gates or Warren families.
Elon built his wealth on natural talent, not just on family support. The project that changed his life was Zip2, he borrowed nearly $30,000 from his father to build it and then sold it to Compaq for $22 million and that was the turning point of his life. Moreover, there are also people who became rich without the help of their family, such as Jack Ma, who came from a poor family in China.

I agree with you education is the way to get us out of poverty and become rich, but we must have a comprehensive education, not just focus on finance and ignore other basic education. To have a chance to get rich, we need to combine basic education + finance, financial education alone will never make us rich.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: How safe is Bitcoin in the world's economic turmoil? on: June 23, 2025, 03:02:54 AM
Bitcoin does not have a house  to be bombed, it is decentralized and has little to nothing to do with what's going on with the turmoil. There is no risk associated with Bitcoin neither is there any breach in the Bitcoin protocol as a result of what is going on with the global economy. Therefore, if there is anything that is safe at this time of uncertainty,  it is Bitcoin. I was expecting the price to soar instead it's dropping in price which makes me wonder if people are selling off their Bitcoin to buy food 🤔

The Bitcoin network is safe from war, geopolitical instability, untouched and almost secure but its price is not. Bitcoin price depends on cash flow from economy but economy is affected by war, politics. Meanwhile, what people care about is the value of their assets, they don't want their assets to lose value and that's why bitcoin is still not a popular choice in a turmoil economy. And bitcoin price is falling because people are selling it to move to safe assets like gold, not because they are selling it to buy food, LOL.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are large public companies buying Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2025, 02:53:18 AM
OP, the public companies you are referring to or other companies are investing in bitcoin. In addition to their core business, they also invest in various asset classes with the aim of diversification to reduce risk and seek to increase returns.

MicroStrategy, Tesla, Block...all are investing in stocks, bonds, real estate or other fintech investments. And bitcoin is just like other assets, it has the potential for even higher returns, so we don't need to be surprised or wonder when they invest in bitcoin.

Except for crypto companies and Strategy invest the majority in bitcoin, the rest of the companies invest only a small portion in bitcoin.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Salary in satoshis? on: June 22, 2025, 08:36:22 AM
I have to admit I would not like to take my salary in Bitcoin (satoshis). I love Bitcoin but the volatility is way too high to have my salary paid in it. I might get paid & 2 hrs later the price has dumped 10% I can’t pay all the bills for the month. I buy Bitcoin but I don’t want my entire salary paid in it.

Me too, I don't want my entire salary paid in satoshi. I don't know about others but in my opinion it doesn't bring any benefit or convenience to my real life. It makes things even more stressful because like you said, I'll have to deal with the volatility of it and that's inconvenient.

Many people think that getting paid in satoshi will make investing more convenient and easier but on the contrary, I see it as a barrier preventing us from buying cheap bitcoins. What if we get paid today (satoshi), and tomorrow the price of bitcoin suddenly drops 10%-15%? Not only did we lose, but we also missed the opportunity to buy BTC at a low price.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never underestimate the powers of your Bitcoin. on: June 22, 2025, 08:22:18 AM

Before, people never saw this happening, if we rely on wishes we are also going to miss Bitcoin at $1M.

$100 - $1000: Succeeded

$1000 - $10,000 = Succeeded

$10,000 - $100,000 = Succeeded

$100,000 - $1,000,000 = Coming Soon.

Bitcoin can easily and only take 16 years to grow from 1$ to 100k$, or only take a few years to grow 10x from 100$-1k$, 1k$-10k...but 100k$-1 million will not be easy anymore.
Bitcoin will hit 1 million but it will take longer than we think and could take decades, it won't happen in the next 1 or 2 cycles. People should take note of this, don't be naive and mistakenly think that bitcoin will also easily increase in price and bring 10x profit like before. Because bitcoin's market cap is no longer small, and the larger the market cap, the slower the growth rate will be.

Never underestimate the power of bitcoin, but don't exaggerate it either.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding Bitcoin generally good? on: June 22, 2025, 08:05:35 AM
We all dream for bitcoin to achieve its real goal and serve its real utility case which is to be a currency more than a speculative asset or investment. But what else can we do when majority of the countries are still doubting bitcoin and are still hesitant to accept bitcoin as an alternative currency.

This is why we end up buying and hodling bitcoin instead, not just to obtain high profitability, but this is also our way of safekeeping bitcoin while we are still waiting when will bitcoin will be globally adopted for good, which I think the whole point why everyone takes time to promote bitcoin.

I am not going to blame the government and suggest that they are the reason why bitcoin cannot become and be used as an alternative currency. It is we who turn bitcoin into a speculative or investment asset, not anyone else. We should be honest and not blame anyone when we ourselves do not want and do not seek to promote bitcoin as a currency. Instead, most people are selfish, only care about their own interests and only want to profit from it.

What guarantees that if the government legalizes bitcoin as a currency, we will use it to replace fiat money? Like in El Salvador, reports show that up to 90% of the population does not want to use bitcoin as currency even though bitcoin has been legal currency for the past 4 years. We are like the people of El Salvador, just want to hold and profit from bitcoin, no one wants to use it on a daily basis.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 22, 2025, 04:18:26 AM
PSG did not underestimate their opponents, they lost even though they played with their good players. Of course, the lack of some players could have created a different atmosphere, but it would not guarantee that PSG would come out on top in this game.

PSG did not make many changes to the squad. However, in the match against Atletico Madrid, Ruiz, Vitinha and Neves were in the midfield. We did not see Ruiz and Neves in the starting XI in the last match. We also saw Marquinhos outside the squad. However, PSG's attack remained unchanged.

Although this squad won 4-0 against Atletico Madrid, they could not score a single goal against a team like Botafogo. PSG's players are trying hard. PSG's players were able to make a total of 16 shots. But even then, PSG could not break Botafogo's defense. Botafogo was quite tactical in this match. After getting a 1-0 lead, they kept their defense strong and wanted to end the match 1-0. And they managed to achieve this.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: June 22, 2025, 03:32:43 AM
Exactly where the problem lies, in modern football the heart of the midfield is the most vital structure of every football team and once you lose the midfield to the opposition then you are done for , I expect Alonso to understand this theory and get some reliable midfielders to help fortify the team for the upcoming season because if this is not done then he might not stay on till mid season, I doubt.

Agree. Midfield is the most important in current football. Madrid has talented midfielders in their squad. However, they do not have midfielders like Toni Kroos or Luka Modrich. These two midfielders had the ability to change the scenario of the entire match at any moment. Even if Madrid has a talented midfielder like Bellingham, you cannot rely on him too much. Bellingham basically performs like a forward. His main target is to score goals. A midfielder should not do that. Bellingham scored 9 goals and 8 assists last season. So it was necessary to find a worthy replacement for Modrich.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: June 21, 2025, 07:14:10 PM
Well it seems as if one man's mistake has ended up benefiting the other, there is no way the Real Madrid president could have successfully convinced me that the club has lots of midfielders because if you check the entire squad then you would notice that valverde is the only midfielder left in the squad after the departure of Luka modric from Real Madrid and it was highly anticipated that Xabi Alonso was going to convince his former midfielder to join him in Spain but instead they lost him to Liverpool.

My guess is that Xabi will try to get Wirtz into the squad. Because Wirtz is familiar with Xabi's tactics. He was able to score a lot of goals and assists last season. But Liverpool spent a lot of money to get Wirtz into the squad.
Toni Kroos left Madrid last season. Modrich is also going to leave Madrid this season. Madrid have lost their two best midfielders. And Madrid do not have a worthy replacement for these two experienced midfielders. Madrid have strengthened their attack and defense. But Alonso has not taken any steps to strengthen the midfield yet.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 21, 2025, 06:51:36 PM
The performance of Bangladesh as a team that managed to draw is actually commendable for them in one aspect because they have lost to much weaker teams before. Before the starting of this series, I had assumed that they would lose this match.

However, if Bangladesh could have won this match, then maybe Bangladesh fans would have found some peace of mind because they have seen their players play well after a long time. Morepver, it remains to be seen what Bangladesh can do in the upcoming matches as the match is going to be held in Sri Lanka's home ground, Colombo.

A draw is a good result for Bangladesh. Bangladesh started the first innings badly. Even then Bangladesh was able to score big. Shanto, Mushfiq and Liton batted well. Sadman was able to play a big innings in the second innings. Bangladesh's overall batting was very good in this match. That is why the team was able to draw the match.

The pitch of Galle was completely batting friendly. So we saw good batting from both the teams. But the next match will not be like that. The pitch of Colombo is not batting friendly. It will be very difficult for Bangladeshi players to play big innings on this pitch. Bangladesh's main problem is the irregular batting of the batsmen. However, if the batsmen can play well on the Colombo pitch, then Bangladesh has a chance of winning this match.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: How safe is Bitcoin in the world's economic turmoil? on: June 21, 2025, 09:20:28 AM

I believe that it is not safer than any other asset. Perhaps even more vulnerable than traditional securities, such as those of technology companies. This is due to the fact that the global economy is interconnected. That is, any crisis in the economy will affect every sector of the economy, including the cryptocurrency sphere. Should not completely rely on bitcoin as a "safe haven" and probably the most rational solution would be to diversify risks. That is, invest in different areas to compensate for the impact of the global crisis on certain types of assets (in particular, cryptocurrencies) by averaging out losses (when investing in different assets). A crisis is something in which everyone (assets) "suffers". The question is how to minimize this.

I agree, bitcoin is not safe in the world's economic turmoil. Those who say bitcoin is safe are just stubborn and refuse to accept the fact that bitcoin is not a safe haven. Bitcoin is not there yet, it is still just a speculative asset, and how can a speculative asset be safe in an unstable economy?

In an unstable economy, we can invest in it if we want because over time things will recover and the price of bitcoin will also increase. But it would be a mistake to think that bitcoin can protect us in times of uncertainty because it can be dumped at any time if the economy takes a turn for the worse.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Uber to start accepting stablecoins for payment on: June 21, 2025, 09:05:58 AM
When they start with stable coins I believe that the next step should be to accept Bitcoin because it is the most popular cryptocurrency and Bitcoin holders who wants to spend their coins can patronize Uber for their movements.

The world knows that bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency, has the biggest and best community...and I don't think Uber doesn't knows that. But they decided to choose stablecoin as a payment method instead of bitcoin, they must have their own reasons. So I don't think bitcoin will be added later, I don't think bitcoin has a chance.

We should accept the fact that bitcoin is not suitable as a payment method or an alternative currency because of its volatility. Popular payment methods need stability, low fees, and speed, not decentralization and privacy. Bitcoin is more suitable as an asset, an investment.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: College programs that will make you rich on: June 21, 2025, 08:52:34 AM

Now the question is, are those who weren’t able to go into college will be deprived of getting rich in the future? Certainly, no. We have seen a lot of college dropouts who were able to succeed in life, as long as they have their own unique skills and positive life’s attitudes that will guarantee their life’s success.

College is not the only path to success and wealth, and there are many successful people who did not go to college or do not have a college degree. But not many people can do that and not everyone can do it, so don't look at geniuses like Gate, Steve Jobs and think that if they can do it, we can do it too. They are special and rare people in the world, so if we come from a poor family, studying and getting a degree is very important. If there is an opportunity, don't miss it, we should try to get them because they will help a lot for our future.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They believe bitcoin is no safe haven.. on: June 20, 2025, 04:08:53 AM
A 1% increase in gold isn’t exactly a strong sign that investors are heavily putting their money into it, maybe just a small shift. As for crypto or Bitcoin dropping during this ongoing conflict, that’s understandable. In my opinion, investors still tend to choose gold over crypto for now.

But at least we have Bitcoin, which could serve as a hedge against inflation in the long run. If the situation gets worse, hopefully not, we might eventually see money start flowing into Bitcoin. One day, we might just wake up to a sudden 10% pump or more, which is pretty normal in the crypto market.

Meanwhile, gold moves 1% and experts already treat it like a major event.

You need to look at market cap, 1% of 22 trillion is equivalent to or even greater than 10% of 2 trillion. That means when gold price increases by 1%, gold market capitalization increases by 220 billion, while for capitalization to increase by 220 billion, Bitcoin would need to increase by more than 10%.

That is also the reason why rich people own millions, billions of dollars and only need to invest in gold, stocks...assets that are said to increase in price less than bitcoin. But they will also make huge and much larger profits than bitcoin investors with just a few thousand or a few hundred thousand dollars in capital.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: De-dollarization: Hype or real shift in the global financial system? on: June 20, 2025, 03:49:05 AM

Problem with BRICS countries is that they are left out for a reason. People in them don't even trust their own governments, so why would they trust on each other?

If USD starts to fall rapidly, i see EUR having way more changes to become the new standard for the world trade. That unless someone finds out a way to pair commodities in a way it wouldn't require trust, but i have hard time believing that's going to happen.

In any country there is always a part of the population, some elements that do not trust the current government, not only in the BRICS countries.
Governments don't trust each other and that's understandable because everyone wants to achieve greater good, but when they have a common enemy, it brings them closer together.

If de-dollarization is successful and the US dollar weakens, it does not mean that the currency of the BRICS or any other country in the bloc will replace the dominance of the US dollar. The goal of de-dollarization is to create a multipolar world with more options than relying on a single power.
