This rating is from the media pollster FiveThirtyEight Interactive.

Not a pollster.  The pollsters each run their own polls.  538 uses the data from the polls to forecast the outcome.

According to you the majority electoral system around the world makes no sense, wonderful, but I am not surprised because I am already used to see that elitist thinking.

It makes perfect sense.  And yes, it's absolutely elitist thinking.  And yes, not just in America.  Whenever a country decides to make some peoples votes count more than others, it's because the people that currently have power are concerned about losing it.  Full stop.  That's the primary reason.

I think the Romans were first to do it, and they literally just did it based off wealth and social status.

The electoral college in America was established in the the late 1700s. It wasn't until 1920 that women had the right to vote.  1965 for black people.  I'm trying to just give the facts, but do you not think that's really fucked up?  Or do you just hear a liberal talking about racism and assume it's just a made up world, or they must just be pretending care about it to make people think they are a good person?  I don't understand how anyone with a basic understanding of history can join this growing  "calling out racism is the real problem" movement.

This contributes to the labor shortage.
Thanks for mass importing more strike breakers from Mexico, Bro!  Way so support the working class!  You must spend all day around working folks to have your finger on the pulse of America like that. Major sarcasm starting to pile on now.  Wink

Quote from: TwitchySeal
This isn't true, but yeah Americans that choose not to work contributes to labor shortage.

(note the scale on this graph.  The current rate is only 4% lower than the 20 year high)

The only point when it was lower was during the pandemic.
And the US has been in decline for... about 20 years now, so your data not sayin much.  Clearly at an unhealthy historic low. But eh, nothing mass importing 10 million more strike breakers from Mexico can't fix, amirite?

The chart can be misleading, which is why I mentioned taking notice of the scale.

Here's what it looks like relative to the population:

Quote from: TwitchySeal
Not sure your angle here on how it's relevant.  Sounds like Uber could solve this problem and make more money by reducing driver pay though.

Captain obvious here: THERE ARE NO GOOD JOBS IN AMERICA! DUHHHHH.  Millions of people would not be waiting on Uber and other shit apps for fares and jobs if there were.  Stop LYING TO US!
But I'm sure you'd like it if Uber hired migrants and cut wages even more.

I bet you've given rides to plenty of people with good jobs.

Quote from: TwitchySeal
There is plenty of affordable housing in America.

Of all the things you've said, this is the dumbest and most out of touch.  Just ignore the homeless encampments!
lol, average home price is like $400k.  You're really nasty to normal Americans atp.  You must loath regular people.

The average price that someone buying a single family home is $400k.

The average monthly rent is around $1500, unless you qualify for some sort of affordable housing program for people with lower incomes, then I believe you can get an apartment for under $1k/month in many parts of the country.

Quote from: TwitchySeal
A single immigrant working minimum wage for 18 years while their kid grows up will pay over 50k in taxes on the conservative side, not including 7% ss and medicare tax - which they will only benefit from because they worked for 10+ years.  All the immigrants that work a few years and leave, their social security payments go to you.

And 12 years in school for ONE KID comes to $180k, hmmm... not to mention healthcare costs, generally driving up the price of everything and driving down wages.  Migrants = locust, deal with it.

In summation, you've essentially said "I hate America, I hate Americans.  There are no real struggling folks in America.  All poor folks in America are just lazy and stupid."

You don't even recognize the existence of the people you're up against.  No wonder they support Trump.  I

I don't understand what would make an immigrant living and working in America, paying taxes and raising a family different than your average American.

We're all humans.  It's not like we don't have enough room.  And most of us are only in America today because someone else immigrated here sometime in the past 50-150 years and then found a job and raised a family.  Although, in your defense,  there's a good chance that when your family immigrated to America they were treated like crap by those who were here before them.  If you're Irish, they English protestants were dicks to them.  If you're Italian, the English and the Irish were dicks to them, etc.  But what's the point really?  Without immigrants America wouldn't be one of the most successful Nations in history and you'd probably be doing manual labor instead instead of chilling in your car and fucking around on your phone all day.

Yup, we have been talking and discussing about this election for a long time and now the time has come to know who will wins this Election. There would be lot of real and fake news at the social media so better verify every news before accepting it or sharing it with others. Also i would see a huge volatility in bitcoin prices as the results come in. The bitcoin may pump on trump winnings and dump if the result are moving in other directions.

By the way any site where the real time elections results are displayed

Yeah the time has come , all I hope for now is the party that will cause bitcoin price to surge that will win . That's why am rooting for trump to win, so that despite the wars bitcoin will see something that will still gives its some boost like Trump winning. So that we can be fully sure that bitcoin is going to the moon and to the range of $100k and above, but I know that no matter what happens Bitcoin going to keep thriving to the top .

Makes sense.

Best scenario for bitcoin price is  probably a complete collapse of the US federal reserve which would devastate most of the wealthiest economies and centralized currencies around the world.  A fascist in the White house is the best shot at making that happen maybe ever.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [BET] Trump or Harris 2024, Poker Player vs suchmoon on: November 04, 2024, 07:54:20 PM
The problem with proportional electoral systems, those that come closest to each person's vote being equal in electoral weight to one vote, is that the great majority of people live in urban areas and for them the problems of rural areas are not a priority.

That's not the reason for the electoral college. (And it really doesn't make sense unless you have a valid argument that rural areas are inherently more important than urban areas, and that voters in urban areas are inherently unable to consider the importance of parts of the country they do not live)

When they were deciding how presidential elections would work, there were about 1.29 million in the north vs 1.34 million in the south - but the north still had an advantage of almost 40% more eligible voters.

How can that be, you ask?

Well, in the south of the 1.34 million people, about 500k of them were slaves who couldn't vote and about 800k were white.

In the north, only about 50k were slaves, leaving 1.2 million white people.

(only the white men that met various state requirements could vote)

The south knew if they didn't have enough political power, the radical woke social justice warriors would elect a liberal who would come and seize their property (black people) and their businesses would no longer be viable (slavery is extremely profitable).  They didn't want to go woke, because that would mean they went broke.

So, in order to stop the woke mob from the north from electing a communist, the south insisted that their slaves should be counted as people when determining how much weight each state gets in the electoral college but counted as their personal property without any human rights at all other times.

The North didn't like this idea, but ultimately they compromised on counting each slave as 3/5ths of one white person.

And everyone lived happily ever after.  God bless the USA.

Twitchyseal has no idea what he is talking about
9 in a row isn't even interesting.  It should happen every 5 or 600 hands. If you play often enough it will happen regularly because math.

It happens quite often, because stake has rigged all the og games. They will be caught and eddie will face prison, mark my word.
Yes, quite often.  About every 500 or 600 hands on average.

If they rigged them they'll definitely be caught as soon as someone plays that understands how it works and verifies their bets.  Provably fair also means provably unfair.

Most likely you're going through the same thing as blackyjacky though.  Upset that you lost and convinced yourself that you're a victim because accepting responsibility yourself is too hard.

Syndicate by criminals? Nice
When the Curacao Gaming Control Board (GCB) accepts a license application by Medium Rare N.V. / stake.com while I inform them (with proof) since December 2023 about their provably rigged in-house Black Jack system and asked them to intervene, then yes, it looks like the GCB is member of a syndicate of criminals!

If the GCB will give a license to the proven criminal online casino operation Medium Rare N.V. / stake.com, then the GCB will be a proven member of a syndicate of criminals!

The GCB already gave a "Certificate of Operation" to Medium Rare N.V. / stake.com, means the GCB allows Medium Rare N.V. to operate stake.com during the license application process, while it did not issue a license yet!

The problem is your proof only proves how confused you are.

Your math is wrong and even if it weren't wrong you based on the assumption that in every hand of black jack you can only ever lose your entire bet, push, or double your bet when in reality if you're dealt a black jack (that means an  Ace and a face card or ten) you get paid 3-2.  And you also have the option of increasing your bet by doubling down or splitting your hand into 2 or more hands.

All this means the player only wins 42% of hands on average.  But because they often win more than double their money, it's not the same as flipping a coin for even money that only wins 42% of the time.

You lost because you're a losing online black jack player.  You think you can beat the game, but that's only because you don't know how to do the math.  Don't feel bad, nobody is beating stakes blackjack - the truth hurts.  Crying only makes it worse.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kamala to re-instate the right to health for women - por-choice on: November 03, 2024, 09:58:01 PM
You are not thinking strategically. Abortion gets rid of liberals, and liberals are the only people making sure women have the right to an abortion. We should therefore vote for conservative candidates who want to ban abortion so that we have enough liberals in the future to make sure that women are guaranteed a right to an abortion. To protect a woman's right to choose, we need to vote against abortion.

Regards,

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

But then it will be harder for conservatives to get away with cheating on their wives.

Pretty surprising final poll from NYTimes Sienna.

I would've expected Kamala to finish strongest in Michigan, and certainly have a better chance in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania than North Carolina.  And I think the same poll had her ahead by a point or two in Pennsylvania for several weeks.  They're still fighting for a 1 maybe 2% edge on a coin flip with all but Arizona within the margin of error, but it seems Kamala has likely taken back the momentum at the best possible time.

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Musk buying votes? on: November 03, 2024, 08:25:23 PM
it would be an increase on the prices for anyone in America who tries to import and drive electrical vehicles made in China, Joe Biden has already set an stunning 200% percent tariff on those EVs, which is good for Tesla and Elon Musk, if Trump wins those tariffs will get up to 500% or more and the stock value of Tesla will continue to increase because of that.

They will have a bigger impact on American made cars, since they are full of materials and components that imported from other countries that we have agreements with.   Plus, those countries will respond with Tariffs of their own which car makers will have to offset by raising prices.

In the end, replacing income tax with tariffs will put more money in peoples pocket, especially the people in the highest tax bracket, and make pretty much everything more expensive.  Americans will have more money, especially the wealthy, but it will be worth less....I think there's a word for that...

This is what it looks like when someone only consumes right wing media^^^

Surely. But I'm also sure that if the Make America Healthy Again program was being run by someone on Kamala's ticket you'd be raving about it. Do you see something wrong with the program or is it just that you don't like Kennedy?

Not sure what your point is, but if Kamala had an anti vax conspiratard as her vp I definitely wouldn't be raving about any health related programs they were proposing.

I don't think you realize American political parties have been going through a political realignment for basically the past decade that appears to be culminating right now.  The traditional values of the left/right are barely recognizable compared to what they were from the 80s until around 2015.

Democrats are proposing immigration reform that only a Republican would consider befor 2015.

Republicans have given up on the free trade argument.  Same with being fiscally conservative.

You have the most conservative republicans from when Obama and Bush were in office campaigning on stage at rallies for the democratic nominee and union leaders giving speeches at the RNC.  The Christians have declared the convicted felon that's on his third wife who brags about grabbing pussy their savior and the sitting president who went almost 40 years in Washington scandal free and goes to mass every Sunday the devil.

It's a new world.

Anything Kamala promises is horse shit because she’s been part of the administration for 4 years & not implemented any of it.

Does that really seem like a logical argument to you?

I can’t wait for Trump to win so we can get this country back on track again.

However, God can do whatever He wants. And He often surprises us with things that we never expected.

GDP growth outperforming yet again last quarter was a nice surprise, and likely one of the main reasons for the 4% October rally for USD strength and almost 20% since Jan 2021.

Thanks god!

Trump is better than Kabala in every way possible. If you see them equals you should get your head examined by a doctor as something ain't working right in there. On one hand we have Trump who can do a podcast 3 hours straight and talk about anything, and then we have Kabala who can't create one full sentence that makes any sense and constantly laughing like a mental patient.

This is the same impression I have, although I understand that ideologically there are people who would never vote for Trump and/or would vote for any Democratic candidate against the Republican.

Do you think Kamala will gain more votes from people that would never vote Republican or people that would never vote for a convicted felon/rapist/fascist that spent the last 4 years hiding classified documents from the FBI (and showing them to journalists), undermining trust in American elections with lies, and attacking judges, prosecutors and their families while being tried in various civil and criminal trials before being found guilty/liable?

We will never know who truly gained more votes. The standard media is working for the Dem Deep State. We won't know the truth from them.

But, we can see the truth from Joe Rogan.

HUGE! Kamala tried to scam Joe Rogan: Joe Rogan Turns Down Harris Interview Over Campaign’s Demands – BAM

https://worldnews.whatfinger.com/2024/10/29/huge-kamala-tried-to-scam-joe-rogan-joe-rogan-turns-down-harris-interview-over-campaigns-demands-bam/
Joe Rogan declined an invitation to interview Vice President Kamala Harris on his popular podcast, citing excessive demands from her campaign team.

The Harris campaign reportedly requested significant control over the interview format, including the selection of questions, which Rogan found unacceptable.

Rogan, known for his unfiltered and open-ended interview style, felt that the demands would compromise his podcast's authenticity.

The Harris campaign allegedly wanted restrictions on topics, limiting what could be discussed, particularly around contentious issues.

Rogan's refusal highlights his stance against political interference, particularly when it affects open conversation and journalistic integrity.

He has a large, diverse audience and is known for allowing guests from all political backgrounds, but demands for control were a deal-breaker.

The campaign reportedly insisted on pre-screening questions, something Rogan considered an infringement on the organic nature of his interviews.

The move underscores a tension between political figures seeking controlled media exposure and platforms valuing spontaneous dialogue.

Rogan felt that accepting these terms would alienate his audience, who expect unfiltered discussions without political constraints.

The podcast host expressed concerns that such demands from political campaigns are becoming more common, potentially impacting media independence.

Rogan's platform has previously hosted high-profile figures from various political backgrounds, including Bernie Sanders and Elon Musk, without issue.

Critics argue that Harris's campaign's control measures reflect a broader pattern of restricting press freedom within the current administration.

The campaign also reportedly requested final editing rights, which Rogan's team found unacceptable, as it would interfere with the podcast's transparency.

Harris's team has not commented publicly on Rogan's rejection, though sources indicate disappointment over the missed opportunity.

Rogan has frequently criticized the mainstream media for lacking transparency and accountability, making his refusal consistent with his previous stances.

Supporters of Rogan view his decision as a stand against political manipulation, valuing integrity over high-profile interviews.
...

Cool

Pretty sure Rogan turned it down because Harris wanted him to travel to her and only do 1 hour and, as usual, everything else you just posted are just lies to try and help Trump.

This report was posted 4 hours ago and the RNC acted that quickly to fix it

This is SO MUCH BETTER than 2020 under Ronna McRomney

@LaraLeaTrump
Our election integrity team received reports of thousands of duplicate ballots in Michigan.

We immediately investigated and have CONFIRMED that it was a glitch in the system - these duplicates were not and WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

We are on it and protecting the vote!

Cool
Shame on you.

The Qualified Voter File only allows one ballot to be accepted per voter in every election – a formatting error has been corrected.
Voters can only vote once in every election. A recent social media post has taken a data report that included formatting errors to incorrectly claim that individual voters were casting multiple ballots in this election. The data error has been identified and corrected.

The Qualified Voter File (QVF) maintains a record of each qualified and registered voter with an associated Voter ID that provides a unique identifier.

Whenever a voter moves, the associated address change is added as part of the history of the voter record with the same Voter ID in QVF. For voters who move frequently, such as college students, there may be a large number of address changes associated with a single record. Their voter registration will be active only at the last address at which they registered. The QVF does NOT allow for multiple ballots to be accepted for the same voter or Voter ID.

Recently, the Bureau of Elections identified a formatting error in a routine report that shows the list of voters who have cast a ballot either by absentee or early voting ballot. The formatting error in the data export process generated a line in the exported report for each formerly associated address of each individual voter listed, resulting in the same ballot for the same voter appearing on multiple lines of information all associated with one unique Voter ID.

Each of these voters only had one vote recorded for this election. This error in the data export process has been corrected and these erroneous extra lines no longer appear on the report.
